We are proud to announce that GuardSys have successfully delivered a Fire & Security project with Wokingham Borough Council.Wokingham Borough Council is the local authority of Borough of Wokingham in Berkshire, England. It is a unitary authority, having the powers of a non-metropolitan county and district council combined.
In 2017 we were approached with a specific request. To design, supply, install and handover fire alarms, access control and video intercom systems for Wokingham council housing.
Once GuardSys gained the approval of the proposed equipment and design We started the installation part.
The internal system that GuardSys uses allowed the onsite engineers, project managers, main contractor and the council itself to access all project information from wherever they are. From drawings and specifications to snaglists, RFIs, and photos. Our internal system allows everyone involved in the project to be up to date with what is going on.
Fire Alarm For the Council
We have proposed addressable Kentec Fire alarm system for the council’s housing. It was accepted by the Wokingham Council and their consultants for the simplicity and integration possibility.
Access Control System for Council
As the Wokingham Council already had Paxton access control system at some of their housings.Paxton have proven during the years the reliability of the systems. We proposed to continue with the Net2 range to minimise the training on the council’s stuff. GuardSys custom build the video intercom panels accommodating them with Paxton reader.
Video Intercom System for Council
We had to design and propose a mixed-use vide intercom system that can also serve disable, deff, and less able to stand users. GuardSys proposed a system that incorporates hands-free colour video monitors, induction loops, strobe lights, vibration mats and remote control transmitter.
The is just one of many sucessful projects that GardSys have completed. We are always happy to work with Councils & Local authorities helping them achieve their fire and security projects successfully.
